Memorial Park Stories & local character

Veterans Memorial Park Is Both Playground and Civic Memory

Veterans Memorial Park is one of Cibolo's everyday parks, but it also carries civic memory. The City of Cibolo says it dedicated the park on July 12, 2008, for local veterans from all branches of the U.S. military.

The city lists basketball, grills, a pavilion, picnic tables, a playground, restrooms, and a soccer field. The same page says the park has a POW memorial and memorial bricks at the entrance. Families and friends placed those bricks for veterans tied to Cibolo.

For residents, the park works in two ways. It is a place for games and family plans. It is also one of the city spaces where Cibolo marks military service in public.
