Schlather Park Mixes Cibolo Family History With Trails

Schlather Park is more than a park name on a sign. The City of Cibolo says Fritz and Sandy Schlather, from one of the community's earliest families, donated the land. The city named it for Ernst and Elaine Schlather, the parents of Fritz Schlather, and opened it to the public in the summer of 2012.

The park offers picnic areas, a pavilion, play features, walking paths, nature watch points, outdoor fitness gear, and an 18-hole disc golf course. The city describes it as a place that brings together the environment, recreation, and fitness in one spot.

That mix gives Cibolo a park with both local memory and daily use. If you are nearby, check the city page for hours, pavilion rental details, and the disc golf map before planning a visit.
