County Park
Kitty Hollow Park Is a Big County Park Near Missouri City
Kitty Hollow Park is the county's all-purpose park on the Missouri City side, 190 acres at 9555 Highway 6 South. It's the kind of place a family can spend a whole Saturday without anyone agreeing on what to do, and that's the point.
The county packs a lot in: seven party pavilions for reunions and birthdays, a fitness trail, three playgrounds, a softball field, soccer and volleyball and basketball, a lake with a fishing pier, a gazebo and observation deck, and separate dog runs for big and small dogs. The historic Dew House Museum sits in the park too, so a walk can end with a little local history.
If you're hosting a group (a quinceañera, a church picnic, a youth game day), the pavilions book up, so reserve ahead. Check the county's Kitty Hollow page for current hours and reservation rules before you plan around it.
