Jesse H. Jones Park Protects Spring Creek Woods and Swamps

Jesse H. Jones Park gives north Harris County a genuine piece of wooded Spring Creek bottomland — 323 acres of trails, swamps, and forest with a Nature Center, playground, and restrooms, run by Harris County Precinct 3.

What sets it apart from a plain nature trail is the history tucked inside it. The park includes the Redbud Hill Homestead and a re-created Akokisa Indian Village, so a walk here puts creek habitat and local heritage side by side.

For families, walkers, and school groups around Spring and Humble, it is an easy place to spend a morning outdoors with something to learn at the end of the trail. Check Precinct 3 for hours, pet rules, and event schedules before visiting.
