El Lago, Texas
El Lago is a small residential city in Harris County on the shores of Taylor Lake and Clear Lake, in the southeastern Houston area about 23 miles southeast of downtown Houston. Developed in the 1950s and 1960s beside the Johnson Space Center, it became one of the neighborhoods where NASA astronauts and their families lived, including Neil Armstrong, and it remains part of the residential belt surrounding the space center.
