Aspermont, Texas
Aspermont is a small town in Stonewall County, in the rolling plains of West Texas about 56 miles northwest of Abilene. The surrounding country is dry ranchland and cotton and wheat farming ground, cut by the forks of the Brazos River. Its economy has long rested on agriculture and, in the wider region, oil production.
Property here runs through the Stonewall Central Appraisal District and the county tax office — the homestead exemption, the appraisal cap, protests, and any MUD, PID, or special districts all sit at the parcel level.
