The Trinity Skyline Trail Puts the River Beside Downtown
The Trinity Skyline Trail runs 11.6 miles of hard surface right through the Trinity River floodway, close enough to downtown that the skyline sits over your shoulder the whole way. Dallas Parks lists it as a hike-and-bike trail that connects to the Santa Fe Trestle Trail and the Coombs Creek Trail.
It is the trail that changes how you read the river. In central Dallas the Trinity isn't just a line on a flood map; it is a wide green corridor where people walk and bike with the towers in full view.
Trail access, nearby construction, and connecting routes do change, so check the Dallas Parks trail page to confirm the route before you ride or walk it.
