Bachman Lake Sits Beside Love Field with a Trail Around the Water

Bachman Lake is a 205-acre city lake in northwest Dallas, right on the north side of Love Field Airport at 3500 West Northwest Highway. Planes climbing out of Love pass low over the water, which is part of the lake's character. A roughly three-mile hike-and-bike trail loops the shore.

Dallas Park and Recreation lists picnic areas, a pavilion, an accessible playground, the Bachman Recreation Center indoor pool, an outdoor family aquatic center, plus fishing, a boat ramp, shade, and picnic tables along the water.
