The Santa Fe Trail Carries East Dallas to White Rock Lake
The Santa Fe Trail is a 4.7-mile path on an old railroad right-of-way in East Dallas. It starts near Deep Ellum and the Exposition Park area, then runs toward the west side of White Rock Lake.
Because it follows the old rail line, the route quietly stitches the east side together. Deep Ellum, Fair Park, older neighborhoods, and the lake all sit on one walkable or bikeable line.
The official trail information names connections to Fair Park, Deep Ellum, White Rock Lake, the SoPac Trail, and the future Trinity Forest Spine Trail.
