Park West Gives Seguin a Big Active-Play Park

When you want more than a quiet picnic table, Park West is the Seguin park to head for. The 48 acres on the west side of town came out of a 2013 bond package, and the city built it for motion.

It comes loaded: a splashpad, a skatepark, a hike-and-bike trail, an ADA-accessible playscape, a separate off-road bike trail, three multi-use fields, a basketball court, pavilions, and restrooms. That spread keeps it useful across a lot of ages, not just for teams with a game on the calendar.

If you're sizing up the west side of Seguin, Park West is the landmark to anchor on. The splashpad runs seasonally, so its hours are the one thing worth pinning down on the City of Seguin page before you pile everyone in the car.
