Build More Than One Weather-Warning Path
Weather.gov/fwd is the local forecast and warning page. It is not a signup service. Wireless Emergency Alerts arrive on phones that can receive them. No signup is needed. NWS uses the system for tornado warnings and the worst flash flood and severe storm warnings.
NOAA Weather Radio is a second path. A special radio plays official watches, warnings, forecasts, and other hazard news all day. Keep emergency alerts on in your phone settings. Add another warning path and test it before storm season. City or county alert lists may give more local detail, but they are separate from the phone system.
