Get Marriage Records From the Guadalupe County Clerk

Need a copy of a Guadalupe County marriage license? It lives with the County Clerk, who keeps three kinds of vital records: marriage, birth, and death. For marriage licenses you can now buy an electronic certified copy and have it emailed to you, which means you may never have to set foot in Seguin to get one.

The main office is at 211 W. Court Street in Seguin, open Monday through Friday, with a satellite at 1101 Elbel Road in Schertz that's far closer if you live on the Cibolo, Schertz, or I-35 side of the county. The vital records desk picks up at (830) 303-8863 or [email protected].

Marriage records are the easy ones. Birth and death certificates come with tighter eligibility rules, since state law limits who's allowed to request them, so for those, expect to show proof of who you are and your relationship to the person on the record before they'll hand a copy over.
