Lake Arlington Gives the County Another Everyday Water Place

Lake Arlington is more than a name on the map between Arlington and west Tarrant County. The City of Arlington opens it to the public through two shoreline parks — Richard Simpson Park and Bowman Springs Park.

Both parks have boat ramps and fishing, with floating docks, picnic areas, and pavilions, and Bowman Springs adds a fishing pier and a large multi-lane ramp. Arlington requires a paid boat-use permit to launch, with daily and annual options, so check the rules before you trailer a boat over.

For residents near west Arlington, Dalworthington Gardens, and east Fort Worth, Lake Arlington is one of the county's everyday water places. Check Arlington's park pages for ramp access, hours, and lake-use notices.
