Eagle Mountain Park Adds Lake-View Trails on TRWD Land
Eagle Mountain Park gives northwest Tarrant County a trail destination separate from fishing the lake itself. The Tarrant Regional Water District runs it as a public park on roughly 400 acres of TRWD land on the northwest shore of Eagle Mountain Lake.
There are more than 5 miles of hiking trails through cross-timbers forest, with a couple of loops that climb to a bluff for wide views over the water. The trails are for hiking only, with no bikes and no pets, which keeps the place quiet.
For residents near Saginaw, Azle, Lake Worth, and northwest Fort Worth, this is an easy outdoor option that gets you the lake setting without needing a boat. Check TRWD before you go for current hours, trail rules, closures, and parking.
