Tarrant Motor Vehicle Branches Handle Disabled Placards

Disabled parking placards and plates go through the Tarrant County tax office system, not DPS. The service is listed with registration and title work at motor vehicle branches.

The form is TxDMV VTR-214. A doctor or other health care provider fills out the disability statement, and the completed form goes to the county tax office.

For a permanent placard renewal, the doctor's statement does not have to be gathered again. Branch services can differ, so pick the location that handles what you need and bring ID.
