Sign up for Denton County Alerts before severe weather

One warning path is not much of a plan. The NWS Fort Worth page for zone TXZ103 carries current forecasts, watches, and warnings for Denton County.

Denton County uses Everbridge for opt-in local alerts. Anyone who used the county's older CodeRED, Nixle, or Reverse 911 systems needs a new account. The county also tells residents to check their city or town for another local system. Wireless Emergency Alerts are separate: selected urgent warnings go to WEA-capable phones without a signup. More than one warning path gives you a better chance of hearing the message.
