Champion Park Mixes Creek Time and Dinosaur Play

Kids come to Champion Park near Cedar Park for the covered play area, where they can dig around for castings of dinosaur bones. Around it the park spreads out into open space, picnic tables, restrooms, parking, a fitness area, swings, and climbing boulders.

The large covered pavilions come with built-in grills and can be reserved for a group, which is what makes this a birthday-party park as much as a play-an-hour park. From the same spot you can drop a line in Brushy Creek or step straight onto the Brushy Creek Regional Trail for a walk, run, or ride — shade, play, creek time, and a trailhead all off one parking lot.

If you're booking a pavilion or planning a long trail outing, the Williamson County Parks page is where the reservation details, hours, and current rules live.
