Veterans Park has fields and a memorial

Veterans Park and Athletic Complex is where a lot of College Station's organized sports happen. The city's visitor office counts 13 multi-purpose fields (four of them synthetic turf) plus five natural-grass softball fields, all of them lit. Add batting cages, playgrounds, a pavilion, and wi-fi, and it's set up to host weekend tournaments and weeknight league play.

Tucked inside the same park is something quieter. The Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial is a 12-acre site honoring veterans from the nation's wars, with life-sized statues, a Wall of Honor, interpretive panels, and individual memorial sites you can walk among.
