Greenway trail
The Lick Creek Greenway links neighborhoods to the park
The Lick Creek Greenway is the paved spine that connects south College Station's neighborhoods to its biggest nature park. The city describes it as about three miles long, running between Westfield Park and Lick Creek Park, and threading past homes, parks, and schools along the way.
It's built to be used every day, not just on weekends. The trail is accessible, 10 feet wide, and stays in a natural setting the whole way. An underpass at Midtown Drive and William D. Fitch Parkway carries walkers and cyclists under that busy road, so you can do the full route without stopping at traffic.
That makes it a genuine commuting and exercise route, a way to reach the park or a school on foot or by bike rather than driving. The city's trail map is worth a look when you're picking a trailhead, especially if you need parking, shade, or a shorter out-and-back.
