In Texas, the county tax assessor-collector handles vehicle work. In Hidalgo County, that means the Motor Vehicle Department.

Start there for a sticker renewal. Start there for a title transfer too. The same office handles address changes, disabled placards, receipts, and short-term tags. TxDMV also allows many renewals online.

You can renew before the sticker expires. You can renew after it expires if you have not received a citation.
