Travis Bryan Midtown Park remakes an old golf course
If you remember Bryan having a municipal golf course in Midtown, this is where it went. Since 2020, the city has been turning those 150 acres into a single athletic, wellness, and entertainment complex — fairways and a drained lake giving way to event venues and ballfields.
A lot is already open: Legends Event Center, Travis Fields, Topgolf, and D-BAT Aggieland all sit on the site, alongside a festival grounds built for big outdoor crowds. A 12-foot-wide multipurpose trail is going in to ring the whole park once the work wraps.
Still on the drawing board are a boardwalk, a refilled Midtown Lake, fishing piers, boat rentals, and an accessible playground. With the place half built and half coming, a glance at the City of Bryan park page will tell you what's actually open today before you make the drive over.
