Tenmile Creek Preserve Keeps Lancaster's Woods on the Map
In Lancaster, on the south side of the county, Tenmile Creek Preserve protects 125 acres of wooded areas, meadows, and the banks of Tenmile Creek. Dallas County lists two miles of soft-surface trails with benches and picnic tables along the way.
It's proof that south Dallas County still has creek land and shaded woods, not only subdivisions and retail roads. For Lancaster residents, it is a quiet, close-to-home place to walk.
Use the county page before visiting. It lists the entrance at 801 Nokomis Road, sunrise-to-sunset hours, and the Lancaster Parks and Recreation contact for maintenance issues.
