Use Collin's Tax Account Lookup for Bills and Balances
If you need a current Collin County property-tax balance, start with the county's Tax Account Lookup. It searches the collection record behind recent tax statements. Open it before relying on an old bill or closing packet.
You can search by account number, owner name, owner mailing address, or property location. The screen also lets you narrow results by account type, active status, and paid or unpaid status. Those filters help separate active accounts from older records. For a property-location search, leave off the street direction and street type. Account numbers commonly begin with R, P, or M.
This is the collection side of the property-tax system. Use it for a recent statement, a current tax amount, or the route to payment. It is not the appraisal record. Collin Central Appraisal District handles appraised values, exemptions, ownership records, and appraisal-record addresses. The Appraisal Review Board hears protests when an owner disputes an appraisal action. Match the account and property location before calling, and keep the number handy when you move between offices.
