Seabourne Creek Nature Park Has Prairie, Wetland, and Birding
Seabourne Creek Nature Park is Rosenberg's largest park at 208.9 acres. It protects coastal prairie, a landscape that has mostly vanished under farms and suburbs.
The park includes 20 acres of restored prairie, a 6-acre wetland, and a 4-acre lake. It sits on the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail, with more than 212 bird species recorded.
From November through May, Rosenberg and the Coastal Prairie Chapter of Texas Master Naturalist lead free first-Wednesday bird hikes. For a slower outdoor stop near Rosenberg, this is prairie, wetland, and birding in one place.
