Two offices handle property taxes in Parker County

At 1108 Santa Fe Dr. in Weatherford, the Parker County Appraisal District puts a value on your property every year. That's where you go to protest a value you think is too high or to apply for a homestead or other exemption.

Next door at 1112 Santa Fe Dr. is the Tax Assessor-Collector, who handles vehicle registration and some billing. The one thing that office does not do here is collect your property taxes. That work falls to the appraisal district and to the individual taxing units themselves, of which Parker County has 25, counting school districts and special districts.

So if a tax question is about value, exemptions, or your account, it starts at 1108. If it's about plates and registration, it's 1112, same block, two different buildings.
