Two different offices handle your property tax
Two offices are involved in your property tax. The Nueces Central Appraisal District decides what your property is worth. It does not collect money, and you reach it at (361) 881-9978. The Nueces County Tax Assessor-Collector sends your tax bill and takes your payment at the courthouse, 901 Leopard Street, Suite 301, in downtown Corpus Christi, phone (361) 888-0230.
If you think your value is too high, you protest with the appraisal district. If you have a question about your bill or want to pay, you contact the tax office. Keeping these two roles straight saves a wasted trip across town, because one office cannot change what the other did.
