Memory Park Puts a StoryWalk Behind the Library
The City of Montgomery says Memory Park is behind the Charles B. Stewart Library, and it is the signature project of the Rotary Club of Lake Conroe. The city describes it as an important community spot.
The park includes native and naturalized Texas plantings, a walking trail around the pond, rest and exercise areas, and Shane's Garden. There is also a StoryWalk, where children follow a path that lays out the pages of a storybook, with a new book swapped in several times a year.
That gives Montgomery a sweet bit of civic identity: library, park, walking path, garden, and children's reading all sitting together. Check the city page for current reservation and donation details before planning a group visit.
