McDade Park Blends Disc Golf, Fishing, and Neighborhood Play

McDade Park sits at 10310 FM 2854, west of Conroe. It opened on 19 acres and became better known after an 18-hole disc golf course was added in 2004.

Around the course are a pavilion, restrooms, play structure, athletic fields, exercise stations, basketball court, half-mile walking and jogging trail, picnic tables, horseshoe pits, and a fishing spot.

It is a plain, useful neighborhood park in the best sense. One person can walk the loop while kids use the playground and a group plays disc golf. Reserve fields or the pavilion through Conroe Parks if you are bringing a crowd.
