Levelland City Park Fits a Whole Recreation Map into 116 Acres

At McKinley Street and Avenue Q, Levelland's 116-acre City Park works more like a recreation district than one neighborhood green. The Parks and Recreation office and maintenance shop are here too. The park is both a place to play and the base that keeps the city's park system moving.

Ball games give the park much of its shape. Seven baseball fields, four softball fields, and nine soccer fields sit on the site. A pool, basketball and volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, a walking track, and a 10-hole disc-golf course add more ways to use the same piece of town.

Quieter spots are tucked into that plan. Three covered playground and picnic areas have tables and grills. A civic center and activities building give indoor groups a place beside the fields. The park also has public restrooms.

Each facility can have its own hours or open dates. The city's Parks and Recreation page keeps the field, pavilion, pool, and building routes together. Check the part of the park you plan to use before setting up a group event.
