Harris County Has Official Hurricane Evacuation Zones

An evacuation order may cover only part of Harris County. Coastal ZIP zones help officials move people who face storm surge first. People outside the ordered area may be told to stay home. That leaves more road space for those who need to leave.

Find your zone before a storm forms. Harris County links the zone map, and TxDOT maps the main routes. During a storm, follow the order and route that officials give. A saved map helps with planning, but it cannot replace a live order.
