The Guadalupe River floods fast in Kendall County

The Guadalupe River drains much of the northern and central parts of Kendall County. When heavy rain falls upstream, water rises fast downstream.

This Hill Country area is known for flash floods. Water can reach dangerous levels before a storm even arrives nearby.
