Some Johnson County Flood Maps Changed in 2023

New FEMA flood maps took effect on September 21, 2023, for the parts of Johnson County covered by that update. This included land outside city limits and several towns, such as Cleburne. It did not replace every map in every town. An old paper map or a neighbor's answer may be wrong.

Start with FEMA's Map Service Center. Search the address, open the map panel, and look for a later map change. The pin is only a guide. It does not show exact lot or building lines. A lender decides if flood insurance is needed. It is often required for a federally backed loan in a high-risk zone. Most home policies do not cover flood damage.
