Deer Hunting in Jefferson County Has Antler Restrictions

The 2026-27 combined limit is four deer: no more than two bucks and no more than two antlerless deer. Only one buck may have an inside spread of 13 inches or more. A legal buck has at least one unbranched antler or meets that 13-inch minimum.

Archery season runs October 3 through November 6, 2026. General season runs November 7, 2026, through January 3, 2027. The early youth season is October 30 through November 1. Late youth and muzzleloader seasons run January 4 through January 17, 2027.

The antlerless window and tagging method can depend on the date and whether the property uses Managed Lands Deer Program tags. Open Jefferson County in the current Outdoor Annual before hunting rather than carrying last season's rules into the field.
