China is a small city in Jefferson County on the flat coastal plain of Southeast Texas, about 13 miles west of Beaumont. It lies in the rice-farming and prairie country of the Upper Gulf Coast, within the broader Beaumont–Port Arthur area near the eastern edge of the state.
