Three Collin CAD Tools Do Different Jobs

Collin Central Appraisal District has several online services. Three are easy to mix up. Property Search is the public research tool. You can search by owner, address, property ID, or added details, and choose a tax year.

The Interactive Map is the visual tool. It can locate a parcel and place it among nearby records. Public appraisal records are for research. Check a legal description or acreage through the proper record before using it for legal work.

The Taxpayer Portal is for an owner's private work. It needs the Owner ID and eFile PIN printed on an appraisal or exemption notice. A prior owner's PIN will not work. An owner can view property details, get electronic notices, open documents, and submit a protest. You cannot pay property tax there.

CCAD's calendar also splits the year into appraisal review, exemptions and renditions, and Appraisal Review Board work. Use Property Search for a record, the map for its setting, and the portal for private documents or a protest. Send tax payments to the Collin County Tax Office.
