Southlake, Texas

Southlake is an affluent suburban city northeast of Fort Worth, spread mainly across northern Tarrant County with a portion extending into Denton County, roughly 15 miles north of Arlington. It sits near the southern shore of Grapevine Lake, a large reservoir from which the community takes its name, in the rolling terrain of the northern Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Southlake is known as one of the wealthier communities in the region, anchored by an upscale town-center shopping district and its highly regarded schools.

Property here runs through the Denton Central Appraisal District and the county tax office — the homestead exemption, the appraisal cap, protests, and any MUD, PID, or special districts all sit at the parcel level. The Denton County notes below cover the practical details, with the official county directory for the appraisal district and tax office.
