Sadler, Texas

Sadler is a small farming community in Grayson County, in North Texas northwest of the Sherman-Denison area and not far from the Red River. It sits on the Blackland Prairie, and the surrounding land has long been given over to row crops and cattle. The town grew up in the late 1800s along a rail line, taking its name from a local landowner who donated the right-of-way that brought the tracks through.

Property here runs through the Grayson Central Appraisal District and the county tax office — the homestead exemption, the appraisal cap, protests, and any MUD, PID, or special districts all sit at the parcel level. The Grayson County notes below cover the practical details, with the official county directory for the appraisal district and tax office.
