TPWD Has a Wildlife Biologist Assigned to Johnson County

Johnson County sits inside TPWD's Cross Timbers district. That district has a wildlife biologist assigned to help landowners with habitat, native species, and what is living on their acreage.

The same biologist can help with a wildlife management plan. That plan matters if a landowner wants to keep agricultural appraisal through wildlife management instead of cattle or hay. TPWD has to review the plan for it to count.

For a new rural owner, this is one of the better free calls to make before clearing brush, adding water, or changing how the land is managed.
