For the 2025-2026 season, general season runs November 1, 2025 through January 4, 2026. The bag limit is 3 deer, no more than 1 buck, and no more than 2 antlerless, all seasons combined. Archery season starts September 27 and requires an Archery Endorsement. Youth-only weekends fall in late October (Oct. 24-26, 2025) and mid-January (Jan. 5-18, 2026).

Deer harvest must be reported through the TPWD mobile app or online. Almost all land in Midland County is privately owned, so you need landowner permission to hunt. Verify current season dates at tpwd.texas.gov before you go — seasons and rules can change.
