Two Waco Paddling Routes Meet Near Downtown
The 4.8-mile Brazos Bridges loop passes several downtown bridges and parks. The Bosque route follows a quieter river corridor near McLennan Community College. Current city and TPWD route descriptions differ on some Bosque details, so choose a current route map and arrange a shuttle whenever the selected segment is one-way.
Official access points include the McLennan Community College ramp, Brazos Park East, and the Bledsoe-Miller dock. High water can make the rivers swift, while low water can expose gravel bars and shallow spots. Wind, flow, and the chosen route all affect whether an outing takes one hour or several.
