You Can Fish the Trinity River in Dallas, But Read the Advisories

Texas Parks and Wildlife identifies at least three public access points along the main Trinity River channel in Dallas. Additional spots exist on the Elm Fork and other tributaries in the county. Common species include catfish and bass.

Some areas carry consumption advisories. Mountain Creek Lake in Dallas County has a full no-eat advisory for all fish. Other stretches have restrictions on certain species.
