The Morris County Appraisal District handles both appraisal and tax collection

The Morris County Appraisal District sets the taxable value of every property in the county and collects the tax. It is at 501 Crockett St., Suite 1, in Daingerfield, with Summer Golden as chief appraiser; the office line is 903-645-5601. This is also where you file a homestead exemption, which lowers the taxable value of your main home and shrinks the bill. The usual deadline to file is before May 1. Check with the district, because deadlines can change.

Most Texas counties route tax payments through a separate tax assessor-collector, and Morris County has one (Kim W. Thomasson, at 500 Broadnax St. in Daingerfield), but that office states it does not collect property taxes. So do not take your tax payment to Broadnax Street expecting to settle a property bill; the appraisal district on Crockett Street handles both the value and the collection.
