Coleman County has two separate tax offices

Most Texas counties collect property taxes through the tax assessor-collector's office. Coleman County does it differently. Here, the Coleman County Appraisal District collects your taxes. The tax assessor-collector office in the courthouse handles other things, like vehicle registration.
