Brazoria County Property Tax Statements Can Go Paperless
Mail delays and recent moves can make property tax season messy. Brazoria County's Tax Office has an E-Statements page for property owners who want their tax statement delivered electronically instead of by paper.
To set it up, the county tells owners to fill out Comptroller Form 50-843 (the request for electronic delivery of communications with a tax official) and email the completed form to the tax office. That ties the paperless request to the county tax office itself, which is a separate account from your appraisal district one.
If you own a rental, an inherited property, a vacant lot, or a home where mail is unreliable, e-statements can be a practical backup. Keep your mailing address current too, since going paperless is not a substitute for checking the official tax account each fall.
