Who Handles Property Taxes in Concho County
In most of Texas, two different offices touch your property: one puts a value on it, and a separate tax assessor-collector mails and collects the bill. Concho County runs it a little differently. The tax assessor here doesn't collect property taxes at all. The Concho County Appraisal District does both the valuing and the collecting.
So whether you're questioning your value, claiming a homestead exemption, or just paying what you owe, it all goes through one door: the appraisal district at 121 S. Roberts Ave. in Paint Rock. That consolidation throws newcomers who go looking for a separate tax office and never find one doing the collecting.
