Property Tax Practical

Burnet CAD handles both appraisal and tax collection

Burnet County puts two property-tax jobs under one roof. Burnet Central Appraisal District appraises taxable property and also assesses and collects the local bills it serves. The county tax office does not collect property tax here.

A value or exemption question starts with BCAD at 223 S. Pierce St. in Burnet. If a protest is not settled, the independent Appraisal Review Board hears it. A bill or payment question also starts with BCAD, but it follows the collection side of the office. Read the notice first, then choose the appraisal, protest, or payment path named on it.
