Pearsall Park Shows How Big the Southside Park System Can Feel

Pearsall Park gives the south side a large city park with many ways to use it. The City of San Antonio says the park covers 505 acres and grew through the 2012-2017 City Bond Program, with a grand opening in 2016.

There's far more here than open grass. The city lists an 18-hole disc golf course, dog park space, fitness stations, a skate park, splash pads, and 5K running and walking routes that do not cross city streets or park roads.

The public art is part of the place, too. The city describes Wickiup Encampment and Wickiup Overlook as art installations that provide shade, seating, and views toward Lackland Air Force Base and downtown.
