Natural Area
Eisenhower Park Keeps a Natural-Area Feel on the North Side
The City of San Antonio lists Eisenhower Park as a designated natural area, which tells you how to read it: more trail and landscape than ball fields. The city page provides a trail map and notes that roller blades, skateboards, and bikes are not allowed on the trail, keeping it walking-and-hiking ground.
The park sits near the edge where San Antonio begins to feel more rocky and hilly, on the way up toward the Hill Country. It is also a north-side trailhead for the Salado Creek Greenway, so a short natural-area hike can connect to miles of paved creek trail.
Use the official city page for trail conditions and closure links before you plan around a visit, especially after rain.
