Eisenhower Park Keeps a Natural-Area Feel on the North Side

Eisenhower Park is one of San Antonio's north-side natural areas, more trail and landscape than ball fields. The city keeps a trail map for the park and limits the trail to walking and hiking, with no bikes, skateboards, or roller blades.

The setting fits that rule. This is where San Antonio starts to feel rockier and hillier on the way toward the Hill Country.

Eisenhower also serves as a north-side trailhead for the Salado Creek Greenway. A short natural-area walk can turn into miles of paved creek trail.
