Collin County Toll Roads Often Mean an NTTA TollTag

Driving across Collin County often means dealing with NTTA toll roads. NTTA says the Sam Rayburn Tollway extends between Business 121 near the Dallas/Denton county line and US 75 in Collin County, while the Dallas North Tollway reaches Plano, Frisco, and Prosper.

NTTA's plan-your-trip page explains the payment difference: TollTag customers receive lower toll rates, while drivers without a TollTag receive a ZipCash bill by mail at the higher rate.

If you commute through Frisco, Plano, Allen, McKinney, or the US 75 and SH 121 area, set up toll payment before the bills start arriving. Toll road bills follow the vehicle registration record, so an old address or recently sold vehicle can make a small toll issue harder to unwind.
