Marriage Licenses Start at the Bee County Clerk

Marriage licenses come from the Bee County Clerk at 105 W. Corpus Christi Street, Room 108, in Beeville. Plan for both people to go. Bring an unexpired driver's license, state ID, passport, military ID, or another form the clerk accepts. Bee County also asks for Social Security numbers. Bring original documents or certified copies, not photos of them.

The normal wait is 72 hours after the clerk issues the license. The license runs out after 90 days. Texas waives the 72-hour wait in a few cases, including active-duty military service, certain Defense Department work, an approved premarital course, or a written waiver from a judge. Bee County also links an absent-application form for people who qualify.

If either person was recently divorced, call the clerk. Bee County uses a 30-day wait after the judge signs the decree unless the judge waived it.
